Terms of Use

Effective Date: April 28, 2026

Last Updated: April 28, 2026

Welcome to The Head Lice Clinic. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at theheadliceclinic.com (the "Site") and any related services. By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Use of the Site

You may use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You agree not to:

2. Medical Disclaimer

The information on this Site is provided for general educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Reliance on any information on this Site is solely at your own risk.

No doctor-patient relationship is created by your use of the Site. A doctor-patient relationship with The Head Lice Clinic is established only through an in-person appointment at our clinic.

3. Appointments and Services

Booking an appointment through our Site, by phone, or by email constitutes a request for service. We reserve the right to confirm, reschedule, or decline appointments at our discretion. Pricing, service availability, and hours are subject to change without notice.

Same-day appointment availability is offered when capacity allows and is not guaranteed.

4. Treatment Outcomes

Our heat treatment device has a documented re-treatment rate of less than 1% based on internal data, but no treatment can guarantee a 100% outcome in every case. Reinfestation can occur if a household member or close contact remains untreated, or if exposure to lice continues after treatment. We recommend following all post-treatment guidance provided by our clinicians.

5. Payment

Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. We accept cash, debit/credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and many insurance plans, including Medicaid. Insurance coverage and reimbursement are between you and your insurance provider; we do not guarantee coverage.

6. Cancellations and No-Shows

We ask that you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your appointment when possible. Repeated no-shows may affect your ability to book future appointments.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, images, videos, and software — is the property of The Head Lice Clinic or its licensors and is protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any Site content without our prior written consent.

8. User Submissions

If you submit reviews, testimonials, comments, or other content to us, you grant The Head Lice Clinic a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and display that content in connection with our business.

9. Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk and subject to their terms.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Head Lice Clinic and its owners, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Site, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Head Lice Clinic and its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site or violation of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Multnomah County, Oregon.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent changes. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
